Album of the Week

 Hi Darlings,

With Halloween getting closer and closer, I've started listening to one of my favourite albums, "Off The Bone" by The Cramps. A compilation album released in 1983 with core themes of horror, rebellion, and strange love, this psychobilly record is not to be ignored. With tracks such as "Human Fly", "GarbageMan," their most famous song, "Goo Goo Muck", and my personal favourite "The Way I Walk", this album is perfect to get you in a spooky mood during this spooky season. Are you a fan of The Cramps, or do you have another go-to spooky album? Let me know in the comments below!

Album of the Week

 Hi Darlings,

I recently went to a show over the weekend where I got to listen to an East Coast band that deserves more recognition. Gizmo, from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, amazed me during their set, and I couldn't wait to make this week's album their new release. Released earlier this month, the 10-track masterpiece "All Your Worships" is beautiful from beginning to end. With songs such as "Celestial", "Gift Shop", and my personal favourite, "Walking the Floor", this slacker-rock album is perfect for when you wanna feel like an angsty teen in the 90s.  All that to say, this album is going to be on heavy rotation for me this week, and it absolutely should be on yours too, because Gizmo is easily the next big thing to come out of the East Coast.

Album of the Week

 Hi darlings,

Now that we are well into fall and the leaves have changed colours and are now falling, it is the best time to listen to this week's album, So Tonight that I Might See by Mazzy Star. Whether you're driving, cooking, or simply reading a book, this album has the perfect fall-cozy vibe that helps romanticize the little moments. With tracks like "Five String Serenade", "Into Dust", and the band's most famous song "Fade Into You", it's no wonder why this album is considered a masterpiece by so many. On top of that, today marks the album's 33rd anniversary, making it even more fitting to feature it as the album of the week! It's a great listen, and I encourage you dolls to give it a listen.

Album of the Week

 Hi darlings,

Over the weekend, I listened to The Smashing Pumpkins 1998 album, "Adore," for the first time, and I wish I had listened to it sooner. Although it sold significantly fewer copies than the band's previous albums, I like that the band went for a more "gothic" vibe on their 4th album. With tracks like "Ava Adore", "Perfect," and "For Martha", this album is perfect for fall, and I recommend you give it a try!

Album of the Week

YASSS, MILEY!!! BASS PERSUADES, YASS!!! Hi darlings, our girl, Miley Cyrus, released her new album "Bass Persuades" on Friday, and I think it's fair to say I'm vibing with it. "Bass Persuades", the single, was released on September 3rd and was instantly loved by millions, including me. For the past year, I've been minimizing my screen time and trying to be more present and enjoy the little things. Miley's title track speaks of this issue occurring in society and encourages people to put their phones down and return to reality, dancing and having fun in an energetic way. While the opening track is very much upbeat and gives the illusion that the album will be a dance album, a lot of the tracks have a softer approach and fall into the love ballad category, such as my personal favourites, "REDLIGHT" and "Orbit". I love love, sue me. Do I think this is her best album? No. But I enjoyed listening to it, and I'm planning to listen to it some more during the week. I encourage you dolls to give it a try too!

Album of the Week

Hi darlings,

I've recently introduced my little sister to one of my favourite albums, and I think it's only fair to introduce you to it as well (or remind you of its existence). I've only been a fan of "Hole" for a year now, but I listen to their album "Celebrity Skin" often, and several of their tracks have been in my "On Repeat" since my obsession began. Some of the popular tracks include "Malibu," "Celebrity Skin," and "Petals," which makes total sense cause they are amazing, but my favourite song off the album, and dare I say of all time, is "Dying". I vividly remember listening to a "This is Hole" playlist on Spotify while doing my hair before work and hearing that song for the first time. I loved it so much that on my way to work that day, I listened to it 2 more times. Although it's considered an "oldie," I promise it's an amazing album, and I encourage you guys to give it a listen this week!

Album of the week

Hi darlings,

ADÉLA released her new album, "PRIMA", on Friday, so of course it's the album of the week, duh. You can definitely hear the Miley Bangerz era inspiration, and I'm all for it. I felt like I teleported back to middle school, and everything was well again. "Ain't in LA" was released as a single and continues to top the charts, and I noticed "Nicole Kidman" being one of the tracks most mentioned alongside "Boys,"  but please show some love for "Marijuana". I don't know what that girl put in that song, but when I heard it while getting ready, I had to sit down and take a break. The release of the album was announced in July, and the anticipation for it has continuously increased for me every time I saw a performance video of hers, and she did not disappoint.  Her vocals are amazing; her stage presence is electric; she is A POP STAR, and I can't wait to see more of her.

p.s I'd like to thank my hairdresser for introducing me to ADÉLA, very kind of you, Darling 💕
