Album of the Week

 Hi darlings,

Over the weekend, I listened to The Smashing Pumpkins 1998 album, "Adore," for the first time, and I wish I had listened to it sooner. Although it sold significantly fewer copies than the band's previous albums, I like that the band went for a more "gothic" vibe on their 4th album. With tracks like "Ava Adore", "Perfect," and "For Martha", this album is perfect for fall, and I recommend you give it a try!

Album of the Week

YASSS, MILEY!!! BASS PERSUADES, YASS!!! Hi darlings, our girl, Miley Cyrus, released her new album "Bass Persuades" on Friday, and I think it's fair to say I'm vibing with it. "Bass Persuades", the single, was released on September 3rd and was instantly loved by millions, including me. For the past year, I've been minimizing my screen time and trying to be more present and enjoy the little things. Miley's title track speaks of this issue occurring in society and encourages people to put their phones down and return to reality, dancing and having fun in an energetic way. While the opening track is very much upbeat and gives the illusion that the album will be a dance album, a lot of the tracks have a softer approach and fall into the love ballad category, such as my personal favourites, "REDLIGHT" and "Orbit". I love love, sue me. Do I think this is her best album? No. But I enjoyed listening to it, and I'm planning to listen to it some more during the week. I encourage you dolls to give it a try too!

Album of the Week

Hi darlings,

I've recently introduced my little sister to one of my favourite albums, and I think it's only fair to introduce you to it as well (or remind you of its existence). I've only been a fan of "Hole" for a year now, but I listen to their album "Celebrity Skin" often, and several of their tracks have been in my "On Repeat" since my obsession began. Some of the popular tracks include "Malibu," "Celebrity Skin," and "Petals," which makes total sense cause they are amazing, but my favourite song off the album, and dare I say of all time, is "Dying". I vividly remember listening to a "This is Hole" playlist on Spotify while doing my hair before work and hearing that song for the first time. I loved it so much that on my way to work that day, I listened to it 2 more times. Although it's considered an "oldie," I promise it's an amazing album, and I encourage you guys to give it a listen this week!

Album of the week

Hi darlings,

ADÉLA released her new album, "PRIMA", on Friday, so of course it's the album of the week, duh. You can definitely hear the Miley Bangerz era inspiration, and I'm all for it. I felt like I teleported back to middle school, and everything was well again. "Ain't in LA" was released as a single and continues to top the charts, and I noticed "Nicole Kidman" being one of the tracks most mentioned alongside "Boys,"  but please show some love for "Marijuana". I don't know what that girl put in that song, but when I heard it while getting ready, I had to sit down and take a break. The release of the album was announced in July, and the anticipation for it has continuously increased for me every time I saw a performance video of hers, and she did not disappoint.  Her vocals are amazing; her stage presence is electric; she is A POP STAR, and I can't wait to see more of her.

Stay weird,

p.s I'd like to thank my hairdresser for introducing me to ADÉLA, very kind of you, Darling 💕

Cute car colours? Where are they?

Hi darlings,

What ever happened to cute car colours? All you see on the road now is black, white, red or blue. I'm tired of it! And when companies drop a new "limited-edition" colour,  all dealerships have the same one and no shade to y'all, but it usually sucks. They are clearly targeted towards the male clientele because I can't imagine a woman wanting to drive a swamp green car. What happened to pink? What happened to purple? Like, yeah, maybe the colours wouldn't sell as much, but like idk, make a few of them for the people that are FUN and actually have a SOUL. As someone who likes to stand out, I would like the option to buy an affordable, safe, reliable car that can survive the winter but that also looks fierce on the road. If we can't do the exterior, how about having more than 2 interior options? Am I making sense here? I just feel like the world is becoming so bland. I am seriously thinking of emailing some dealerships and trying to convince them to make a custom car for me. I think I could pull it off with the right amount of delusion. If I can't pull it off, I guess I'll go with a black car.

Stay tuned and stay weird,

Twyla✨
